Shaping Young Minds by JMA

Today on 10th January, 2014, I with my colleagues had the wonderful opportunity to attend one day event organised by the dynamic team of JMA- Mr. Ahsanul Haq and Mr. Vishal Sharma at auditorium of CT Institutes at Shahpur.. The event is a flagship event organised under the aegis of AIMA and Jalandhar chapter was awarded this event as one of the four places where AIMA organises it every year. Truly a proud moment for Jalandhar!!!

Excellent Customer Service- Fulfilling Customer Need of Hot Homefood- Mumbai Dabbawalas (Tiffin Carriers)- The first session was a wonderful presentation by Mr. Raghunath Hedge and Mr. Gangaram Talekar, proud representatives of the world renowned Mumbai Dabbawalas organisation. Truly simple people with deep sense of business knowledge, clear about all business concepts and talked about their achievements with humbleness and living spirit. Hats off to them for bringing concepts like Six Sigma into their business and carrying only one motto- 100% Customer Satisfaction, truly business leaders. In one of the queries by a student panelist about expansion prospects of their business to other metros including Delhi, Chennai etc., their knowledge about these cities' demographics clearly reflected upon the strong business acumen of the dabbawalas in every sense. A wonderful business concept started by entrepreneurs with an undying spirit to provide quality customer service.

Mumbai Dabbawalas Being Facilitated by Mr. Ahsanul Haq, President, JMA
Social Economist Dr. Bibek Debroy- Professor at Centre For Policy Research, New Delhi- spoke about the need for looking inside and self analysis for achieving success. Quite a sermon from his side whereby he expressed the need to investigate the inner strengths. He talked about good governance and welfare state concepts whereby stressed upon the role of governments to provide roads, infrastructure, electricity and water as basic utilities at subsidies to facilitate growth.
Journalist of High Reputation- Prabhu Chawla from Indian Express Group- shared his life story in most amazing manner whereby he discussed the different turning points in his life which led him to enter journalism as a professional career choice. An inspiring story of a man coming from a modest rather poor background talked about hurdles faced in achieving success. We saw the other face, rather a human face of Mr. Prabhu Chawla today whereby he talked about focus in life and working towards specific goals with all efforts to make ones' dreams true. Former Ambassador and currently Advisor to Government of Sudan, Mr. Deepak Vohra moderated the session and made it all alive with his witty remarks, he is quite a knowledgable person with great intellect yet humble enough to share his ideas freely without hesitation. It was amazing to see his glowing face when he was talking about India's recent achievements, making us feel proud of our wonderful country.

Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor-Masterchef

Value System Must For Success-Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor, Masterchef, Khana Khazana- A man with extraordinary achievements- a professional chef running his own food channel (Food Food) which has become India's topmost lifestyle channel. he shared his success story of becoming masterchef- an obviously reluctant career choice of every Indian parent. he emphasized upon 2 things- firstly, doing something different and secondly, doing it honestly with no compromise on values. Giving credit to Indian family value system, he quoted his own example of his father giving strong message on importance of values in one's life during early stages of his career. Quite a remarkable message from a man who holds great commercial value, yet, has strong rooted value system, a must for every successful and budding entrepreneur.

P.S  These amazing people showed us how innovations and creativity-ingredients for entrepreneurship is possible without usage of technology- ideas can come from anywhere.
