FDP on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (6th to 19th March 2018)

Entrepreneurship Development Centre of GNDU College Jalandhar is organising its 5th Faculty Development Programme from 6th March 2018 to 19th March 2018. 25 Teachers from different colleges of Punjab and Haryana  are participating in this 2 weeks event. Resource persons are leading academic and industry are going to discuss the nuances of entrepreneurship with participants. FDP on Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Dear All,

Winters are here and we are delighted to welcome this season with DST-EDII sponsored 12 days Faculty Development Programme at GNDU College Jalandhar from 3rd to 14th January, 2017. The theme for this year's FDP is "Innovation & Entrepreneurship". Teachers from science and technology streams are invited to attend this 12 day journey of presentations and interactions with experts from academia, industry &  entrepreneurial world. There are no charges for this programme as it is funded by DST. Infact, participants will be provided with workshop kit, lunch and tea (twice between breaks). Outstation candidates have to make their own boarding and lodging arrangements.

FDP 2014-15

Dear Friends,

In order to further spread the spirit of entrepreneurship among faculty of different technical and non technical colleges of Jalandhar and surrounding areas, EDC of GNDU College is organizing 2 Faculty Development Programmes of 12 days duration each in 2014-15 under the aegis of DST and EDII, Ahmadabad.

 

First FDP will be organized from 18-29th December, 2014 at GNDU College Jalandhar premises, while second will be organized at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar from 30th December, 2014 to 10th January, 2015.

 

The focus area of this year FDPs is "Technology Entrepreneurship", faculty from any stream including arts, commerce, management, food sciences, physical sciences, natural sciences, computer sciences or any other stream are invited to apply for this programme. There are limited seats (25 each) for each FDP, hence, first come first serve policy will be adopted. However, preference will be given to participants who show clear inclination and passion for promotion of entrepreneurship. There are no charges for enrolment, however, the organizers plan to charge nominal amount from finally selected candidates.

First EAC of 2014-15 at APJIMTC Jalandhar (29th to 31st October,2014)

It is an exciting day for all of us at EDC as venture into our first EAC for 2014-15. The venue is Seminar Hall of APJIMTC and the participants will be 85 students of APJIMTC from MBA, MCA, BBA & BCA students.

Programme Schedule 2014-15

Dear Friends,

Year 2014-15 has started for EDC now. Start of October has got us the approval and release of funding from EDI, Ahmedabad for conducting 5 Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps (EACs) and 2 Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs). These programmes will be conducted by EDC over the next 6 months in GNDU College and other institutes across Jalandhar. The coordination committee for organizing and coordinating all the events is already in place. I believe and not just hope that we will make it more vibrant, more knowledgeable, more interactive and productive.

Year 2014-15-New Ideas

The Year 2014-15 is just starting for Entrepreneurship Development Centre. With more government support, new aspirations and new insights, we are starting the year with a bang. The events schedule will be shared soon, however, things will be bigger, better and more practical. Thanks a lot to the team last year for working selflessly for this noble cause. Need your support this year as well and more members will also join. Just to share, this year 3-5 students from every class will be selected at PG level and 2 students at UG level to be a part of core committee- the organising group for all the events of EDC throughout 2014-15 and also beyond that.

This year, we are taking EDC to next level. It is time for launching Business Ideas. So, two activities are in the pipeline. One is launching business idea within the college. Promoters of idea who are co founders of the organisation (to be formulated and registered as well) will be selected soon from different UG and PG classes. They will be given a business idea to be explored, discussed and finally give it a shape. Any guesses- Yes, right, it will be technology enabled, so MCA students will also be included. But idea has been kept secret and will e disclosed once it is launched commercially. 

Second new activity is an Inter College Business Idea Competition to be launched all across Jalandhar.
